Postgraduate Programs

For pursuing higher studies, UK is the most sought-after study destination that attracts thousands of international students aspirants to do a post graduate course every year. There are two main types of postgraduate courses taught in the UK universities:
  • Master's programs, which normally consists of classes and seminars and a dissertation preparation, and
  • Diploma or certificate courses, which comprise of classes and seminars but no dissertation. Some diploma courses enable students to transfer to a Masters program after completion.
A research degree is the higher postgraduate program, which is an ultimate opportunity for scholars to pursue their own specialist interests. Students will be expected to initiate and develop their topic under the supervision of one or possibly two academicians of the university. To be successful, students will be required to demonstrate intellectual independence by hard and diligent work. The types of Master's degree programs in UK are:
  • MSc (Master of Science),
  • MA (Master of Arts),
  • MEd (Master of Education),
  • LLM (Master of Law), and
  • MBA (Master of Business Administration).
As the post graduation education is extensive all through UK, the educational costs are relatively lesser than other countries even with its above par quality. The post graduation education pattern in the UK encourages students and scholars for an independent study and strong research-based study, thus, making them experts in their field of study. About the first two-thirds of the master's program of UK are spent researching the topic and planning the dissertation. The remaining time is used up writing the dissertation, which describes the research in detail
